When the tiny needles pierce the skin, signals are sent to your skin’s immune cells to tell them to activate their wound healing pathways. This results in the skin cells acting to ‘repair’ the injury and cells such as fibroblasts are activated to produce new collagen and connective tissue.
The tiny punctures created within the skin also a deeper penetration of products with active ingredients. With our standard medical grade microneedling treatments we infuse the skin with mesotherapy cocktails, these contain a host of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and epidermal growth factors to further enhance the skin’s health and address concerns.
Microneedling will result in improved skin quality, tone & elasticity. It can also reduce acne scarring, reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, reduce hyperpigmentation and soften fine lines and wrinkles.
We recommend having an initial course of 3-6 microneedling treatments to get a good initial visible result and then a maintenance programme of one treatment every 4-6 months or less depending on the original problem. We advise doing these treatments once every 4 weeks and they can also be combined with chemical peels throughout your course of treatments. Results will last longer when combined with other treatments such as chemical peels and good quality skincare and sun avoidance.
There is some manageable downtime with microneedling, the skin can feel warm, tingly and slightly tender for 1-3 days at the most. Following the treatment we also will utilise the Dermalux LED therapy or a medical grade sheet mask to reduce downtime and further enhance collagen production.
Chemical peels
Chemical Peels are one of the most recognised methods of rejuvenating and improving skin health by facilitating the shedding of damaged surface layers. They employ a solution of acid-based
formulations that, when applied to the skin, stimulate the chemical exfoliation process, effectively peeling away layers of dead skin cells. The result is a revelation of newer, healthier skin layers beneath.
Chemical peels can address a multitude of skin concerns, including signs of ageing, sun damage, acne, and uneven skin texture. They come in varying intensities and different degrees of skin penetration and each has their own subsequent recovery time.
- Superficial
- Medium
- Deep
We offer three different chemical peels as listed below:
Superficial chemical peel – targets upper epidermis
£80 per session
Cliniccare medical grade superficial peels can contain a range of gentle acids such as Glycolic, Lactic, Kojic, Phytic, Mandelic or Salicylic Acids which work to remove the upper layer of the epidermis (top/outer layer of skin) encouraging regeneration and rejuvenation of new skin cells. They will brighten the appearance of the skin, reduce the appearance of enlarged pores & result in a more even skin tone and texture. They come in 3 targeted ranges for specific skin concerns;
Pure: suitable for acne, congested, rosacea, sensitive skin types. It will combat oiliness, kill bacteria, reduce inflammation.
Refresh – anti-ageing and skin rejuvenation effect. It strengthens the skin and stimulates collagen synthesis
Glow – effective in treating hyperpigmentation, age spots, sun damage and dull, tired skin. It inhibits melanin synthesis, brightens the skin, evens out discolouration and is safe to use on darker skin.
These superficial chemical peels are extremely well tolerated with minimum side effects – potentially mild dryness and tightness. The procedure is not painful, but you may feel tingling or that your face feels hot for around 3-6 minutes after application. A course of 3-6 peels is usually recommended for full effects and treatments can be undertaken once every 2 weeks. The strength of your peel may be increased over time as your skin integrity improves.
The treatment will include skin cleanse, enzymatic peel, chemical peel, dermalux LED therapy and serums. The treatment will last approximately 40 minutes.
Medium depth – targets upper dermis
£80 per session
BioRePeel is a revolutionary and unique medium depth chemical peel as it is a biphasic peel, meaning it has two phases; lipophilic (oily) & hydrophilic (water-based). This structure allows the penetration of active ingredients into the upper dermis without causing excessive irritation. This peel
has went viral on social media for its efficacy and minimal downtime. The active ingredients within this peel is Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA), Lactic Acid and Salicylic Acid, as well as a range of vitamins and amino acids which moisturise and nourish the skin. BioRePeel is safe on all Fitzpatrick skin types.
It offers immediate results after one treatment and longer-term results after a course of treatments. BioRePeel is ideal for individuals looking for a non-invasive treatment to address issues such as fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin texture, dull skin, oily congested skin and acne. Unlike other TCA medium depth peels and despite BioRePeels potency, it ensures little to no downtime; some people may have mild side effects of redness, tingling or dryness but is easily managed.
This can be a standalone single treatment but full results will be seen after a course of 3-6 depending on the skin concern – this peel can be performed once every 7-14 days.
The treatment will include skin cleanse, BioRePeel chemical peel, dermalux LED therapy and serums. The treatment will last approximately 40 minutes.
Medium depth – targets epidermis, upper and lower dermis
£160 per session
This is the UK’s first medium – depth hybrid medical grade chemical peel, based on the master antioxidant Glutathione. It combines Glutathione with Kojic Acid, TCA, Pure Retinol, Resorcinol, Salicylic Acid, Vitamin C, Mandelic Acid, Lactic Acid and Azelaic Acid to produce maximum results with minimal risks. This is the ultimate skin rejuvenation chemical peel that typically requires fewer sessions compared to standard peels. The Perfect Peel® Superblend works from the outside AND inside to repair and nourish the skin. It tackles a variety of skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, acne and acne scarring, rosacea, sun damage and melasma. This chemical peel can also stimulate the production of collagen resulting in firmer, more youthful skin. It is an inclusive peel that can be safely used across all Fitzpatrick scale types.
Typically, great results can be seen with a course of 1-2 treatments. If there are more complex skin concerns, more sessions may be required. This treatment must be performed around morning to lunch time.
